Hi Dana, I am in the same situation as Rocky. My son is 13 months old and I have been desperately trying to get my son to sleep in his crib, however have been trying the similar steps suggested by you.My son will keep standing up and crying till he starts to throw up ( vomit). He will not lay down as much as I try, he may start to dose of standing up and has once lost his balance and hit him self and started bleeding from his mouth. I have no idea what to do. Please help.

I am about at my wit's end. I have a 21 month old and she is still in bed with me. I have nursed her since birth and still nurse her because that is the only way I can get her to sleep with me. My parents and her sitter can rock her to sleep but she will have none of it with me. So - I am really wanting to get her in her own bed. The one time I tried NOT nursing her at night she screamed bloody murder so I gave up and assumed I was putting less stress on her by letting her just nurse to sleep and stay next to me. I would like to get her in her own bed but feel like I have to completely wean her first before that can happen successfully. Any words of wisdom you could give me would be super. Thank you.
