I have a question: I have a 10 month old that has never slept throught the night but it is getting worse.. He is teething but can teething bother my child Every Night? He goes to sleep around 8-9 pm, then around 2-3 a.m. he wake up wide awake.. He has always done this but I was able to always put him back to sleep.. I have tried everything.. Putting him in different positions in his baby bed, putting him in bed with me, meds, and so on... I dont know what else to do.. For example, I put him to sleep in his bed around 8-9 pm and then he woke up around 2 am..He will stand up and cies.I tried for about an hour to get him back to sleep and nothing.. I ended up getting up with him around 3 am and he stayed awake until 7:30 am....It is like this almost every night here lately.. He doesn't take many or late naps?? I am lost and sleepy.. Is there any help for me?

hi, my son 1.5 year old. my problem iz somewhat similar to the one discussed above, but only there is no pacifier. after i breast feed him, and put him in his crib, he plays a while and usually goes to sleep by himself. then in the middle of the night, the wakings begin. he wakes up after every half hour or sometimes 15 minutes after i had just soothed him back to sleep. he wants me to pat him for the whole night. i have tried letting him cry for a while, but he just doesn't get tired and i have to begin my patting ritual or sometimes feeding. and he does not go to bed on an empty stomach, neither he wakes up this regularly during his afternoon nap. its usually the night time that is so difficult. your help will be really appreciated because its getting more and more tiring and frustrating. thanks

Hi

I have much the same problem as the above lady. My baby has a great bedtime routine, he has a bath, has his bottle & goes to sleep. Some nights he doses off on his bottle other nights he may niggle after but will eventually fall alseep either in his cot (with me tapping his bum + a dummy), or with his dummy.
I read your above answer & am going to try it only 1 thing is sometimes the dummy isn't enough & I have to pick him up & pacify him by feeding him. Do you have any other suggestions.
