15mth old co-sleeping & nursing all night.

I have read every bit of advice under the sun. Most suggest 'putting them in the cot awake but drowsy'...etc. But nobody seems to address WHAT to do if your otherwise mellow baby screams (and I mean screams!) as if their world has fallen apart. Thrashing about on the bed, choking, in such a state because they want to fall asleep nursing. As somebody who isn't really into CIO for too long, I dont know what to do?

I'd love to put him in the crib. Wait till he fell asleep. Patting him. But realistically, what do us mothers do who have really wilful toddlers that become banshees if not nursed to sleep.

PLEASE HELP... I expect a few tears, but this is crazy! I really need a good nights sleep now.....

Please answer this one xxxx

I started on the first stage of the sleep retraining - sitting next to the crib, saying the mantra, stroking, etc. Unfortunately my daughter throws herself around in the crib quite violently. I feel trapped - I know she is trying to get me to take her out of the bed (by any means) but equally I slightly feel irresponsible if I let her hurt herself. What can I do? Stuck in a Catch 22.

Hi, I have a 13 mth old little boy he will go down on his own with no fuss for his two day time sleeps and his night time sleep at 7, but he wakes in the middle of the night and the only way I can get him to sleep is to nurse him or lay down with him in my bed. As I have a 2 year old in the house I try not to let him cry to much as I don't wont him to wake my 2 year old how do I fix this. some nights it take me a couple of hours to settle him because as soon as I put him back in his cot he starts crying again.

I still breastfeed my 15-month-old daughter and after every feed she cries and screams until I give in and keep feeding her. I've put her on formula but lately she's been screaming until I breastfeed her.
