Sorry to say but she's going to have to get used to tummy time. It is important that she does tummy time for at least 30 minutes a day. You don't have to do it all at once, you can do it in 5 minute increments. It will prevent her from having a flat head as well as strengthen her neck and upper body. Try putting a mirror or toys in front of her to distract her. I used a "boppy" pillow with my son and it seemed to make it more enjoyable for him. As far as rolling half way maybe try a sleep positioner? My son slept in his swing. He didn't like sleeping on his back and because of SIDS, the swing was the only way he'd sleep on his back. He now is 5 months old and in his crib.

My 10 month old Hollie has just started pulling herself up to standing position and has now decided to do it every time I put her in her cot at nap times and bed time and stands at the end of the cot screaming. I know that she can get back to sitting on her own but she has never lay down on her own and I know she can't do it. I don't know what to do, friends have told me to leave her and if she's tired enough she'll fall asleep but I can't do it. Any tips? Should I go in every 10 mins and lie her down? Any help would be appreciated

my son is 9 months old now and he wakes up around 2 am after going to bed around 8/9. He cries and doesn't go back to sleep on his own so i bring him to my bed with me. I am still breastfeeding so when i feed him in the bed, he falls asleep. This is great until he starts "sleep rolling"? Not sure what to call it. He sits up, rolls over, falls back, rolls over, sits up, falls forward, etc... over and over all while still sleeping. He keeps me up for hours. I try putting him back in his crib, but he cries. It hurts to hear him cry so I bring him back to the bed again. I am just exhausted every night and I am working full time while hubby works out of town. Any suggestions or information on what these acrobatics are?

Hello, my daughter is 9 weeks old and sleeps in a bassinet next to my bed. She keeps rolling half over and shoving her face into the side of the bassinet. She does not get much tummy time bc she hates it and screams her head off, so her neck isn't strong yet. It scares me at night, and now I cant sleep well because I am afraid of SIDS. normal and should I do anything.

My son is 8 months and still wakes up 3 to 4 times to eat at night. He was a preemie. When I brought him home, the doctor told me to wake him up every 3 hours to feed. However, they neglected to tell me that this wasn't necessary once he got to a certain weight. So, I continued thinking it was okay. Then, he started awakening on his own like clockwork. Now, 8 months later, he's still awakening like clockwork. I believe that now it is just habit, but I don't know how to wean him because I live in an apartment with paper walls so I can't let him CIO in the middle of the night. Also, I have 3 other school age children that he would awaken with his crying. Thank for any suggestion.
