My daughter is 5 and a half months old, she will be 6 months on November 5th. She forces herself to stay awake. For the past few nights I've had to rock her to sleep in my arms and then I put her in her bouncy, because if i put her straight in her crib she will wake up. She refuses to nap and fall asleep in her crib. I've gotten her to fall asleep, i wait til she is fully asleep and then I've put her in her crib and she still wakes up a few minutes later. I've tried this on a few different days and nights and it's still not working at all. She ALWAYS wants to sleep/nap in her bouncy and my fiance and me want her to be broken of that habbit. How do we go about getting our daughter to sleep and to nap in her crib?

she has been sick a lot and waking up through the night we have been doing the controlled crying at night and this has worked but during the day i cant get my 15mth old to go to sleep in her cot, she use to let me wrap her but now she wont and i have left her cry in the cot, but she keeps throwing her dummy out which isn'e helping the situation. I'm not sure what to do anymore.

My ten week old twins go down at 8 every night and sleep until like 6:30 every morning. My problem is naps. They have never been in their cribs for them and I'm just started trying to put then in their cribs at nap time and usually one will cry until they finally upset the other one and then they both are crying. How do I get them both to nap in their cribs or is it too early to try this? I don't want to ruin their night time habits.

Hi,
our baby is 15 mos old. He used to be a great napper. He's still good at night but he refuses to nap during the day. We've managed at most 45 mins. at a time. He's recently learned to stand-up in the crib which has proven an added distraction. We've tried your technique for three weeks to no avail. How can we overcome his stubbornness? And his mobility?

Well where do i start? My daughter is 19 months old and has only slept through the night twice since she was born. I know it is my fault really so i would just like some advice. For the first year of her life we had problems with our flat and had to keep her in our room so it became easier to put her in my bed when she woke in the night rather than getting up so i would get more sleep. She has also napped on my lap every day as far as i remember and in the beginning when i asked advice on getting her to sleep from the midwife and health visitors they didnt help me one bit! If i didnt let her sleep on me she would scream and im th type of person who needs 10 hours sleep a night or i cant function properly. I have recently got her a toddler bed as we tried leaving her to scream and she climbed out of her cot and we have put the bed in her own room as there is no mould anymore (well done housing association at last) We have tried to sit in the room but she goes hyper and laughs to herself and 2 hours later she is still going strong. We have started letting her scream herself to sleep and this works bu our problem is she wakes up at least 10 times in the night and in the end i have to put her into my bed to get some sleep or i'll go mad. When i do put her into my bed she does nothing but fidget, wake up and quite honestly beat me and my husband up in the night lol. We are constantly being headbutted or elbowed an the whole situation is frustrating for us all..... i know this is a big aks but please please before i have a mental breakdown help me find a way to get her to sleep and stay there. Thanks in advance
